THE STATE
Namibia is a republic. According to the 1990 Constitution, executive power is exercised by the President of the Republic who is elected for 5 years by universal and direct suffrage.. The bicameral Parliament is composed of the National Assembly, whose members are elected for a 5-year term, and the Senate, whose members are elected at the regional level for a 6-year term. GEOGRAPHY

The temperatures are relatively mitigated, both by the altitude and, in the coastal area, by the cold Benguela current; in the capital, located at 1779 m, there are summer averages of 23 ºC in January and winter averages of 14 ºC in July.
