A state of Asia extended between the imposing northern mountain ranges and the arid southern expanses occupied by the Gobi desert, Mongolia (properly Outer Mongolia) represents a portion of the territory of the larger Central Asian area in which a wise nomadic organization founded in the course immense empires of centuries. In fact, the tribes of the Huns led by Attila departed from here, Turkish peoples stayed here before the territory was subjected to the domination of the T’ang dynasties and later of the Tatars, which preceded the arrival of the mythical leader Gengis Khān, political and military leader of the Mongols and chief of perhaps the largest and most powerful army ever known in antiquity. For centuries subject to Chinese domination, Mongolia maintained a social and economic organization of a feudal type until the 1920s, when it escaped the dominance of China thanks to the support of the USSR, of which it ended up becoming a military outpost until to its dissolution. The massive aid from Russia, however, allowed Mongolia to face the costs of the structural transformations that swept the country, favoring the transition from a nomadic subsistence economy to a socialist one.. The process of sedentarization and planning that swept the country was joined by other socio-cultural changes which, if on the one hand accelerated the modernization of society, albeit towards a collectivization inspired by Marxist principles, on the other hand they had a profound impact on that fabric. of traditional practices that had characterized the culture and nature of the Mongolian people. First of all, the abolition of Lamaism, the Buddhist currentpracticed in the country, which for centuries had constituted the identity element on a religious, political and cultural level. After the collapse of the Soviet regime and the dissolution of the USSR, Mongolia tried to impress on its social and political structure the signs of greater democratization, while at the same time making its economy permeable to market and privatization mechanisms. Despite the efforts undertaken and the growth linked to the development of some economic sectors (such as extractive ones), Mongolia today faces the problems related to the structural dependence of its economy on the environmental and climatic conditions of the territory and above all to the deep and evident social disparities of the population., accentuated by high unemployment rates and the difficult situation of urban centers. According to COUNTRYAAH, Mongolia is a nation in Eastern Asia, the capital city of which is Ulaanbaatar. The latest population of Mongolia is 3,278,301. CLIMATE
The climate is harshly continental: Mongolia is in fact located in the interior of Asia where the influences of the sea air masses are very weak. In particular, the winters are very rigid; in the northern section of the country the soil, except for a superficial layer of modest thickness that thaws during the summer, is permanently frozen (permafrost). In the capital, which is located approx. 1150 m, the average annual temperature is -4 ºC, while the average for January and July are respectively -27 and 18 ºC. Precipitation is scarce, even less than 250 mm per year in the southern belt, and up to 500 mm, mostly in snowy form, on the northern hills, with peaks even higher than a meter on the highest peaks. The air is very dry, the sky is almost always clear, especially in winter, when the country, dominated by very high pressures, has stable weather conditions; very strong winds blow in spring. The rains are summer, thanks to the action, albeit weak, of the southern monsoon.
