With 13 faculties, Colorado Mesa University offers its approximately 11,000 students a variety of bachelor’s and master’s degrees, associate degrees and certificates. While the college maintains its historical focus on the humanities and cultural studies, some of Colorado Mesa University’s most popular courses also include courses in business, science, sociology, and computer science.

Colorado Mesa University also has strong ties to college sports and the National Collegiate Athletic Association, in which the Mavericks, the university’s sports team, have had numerous successes in the past. The wide range of sports offered by the university, a mix of traditional and modern disciplines with sports such as basketball, lacrosse, rodeo or e-sports, is not limited to the professional area. The amateur area, which is organized into 12 so-called intramural sports leagues, is also very popular with students.

Student engagement and community spirit are top priorities at Colorado Mesa University. In more than 150 clubs and organizations, students get involved outside of the classroom in a wide variety of areas of interest, including film production, mountain biking and psychology. In addition, the university itself organizes several excursions to the highlights of the region with the outdoor program and supports the student body by renting out outdoor equipment.
