Georgia Economy
Transportation engineering is actively developing in Georgia, automobile spare parts and components are manufactured at state factories, Kia Motors built a car assembly plant in West Point, Suzuki motorcycles and ATVs are manufactured in Rome, and an enterprise producing construction and agricultural equipment operates near Savannah JCB company. The picturesque nature of Georgia, historical monuments and various entertainment attractions attract numerous tourists to the “Imperial State of the South”. Georgia is home to a number of military installations, the largest of which is Fort Benning. The US Army tank, infantry and airborne schools, the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (which trains military personnel for Latin American countries) and other units are based here.

One of the largest ports on the Atlantic coast, Savannah, is located in Georgia. It is one of the busiest and fastest growing US seaports, especially in container shipping.
